The 2023-24 Application
www.commonapp.org is now available. This is used for applying to more than one college. You will also have to complete the additional forms that each college requires.
Make sure you meet with your high school counselor to ensure they have all the necessary paperwork to complete your file before submitting your application.
NOTE: The following Georgia Schools use the Common App for their applications:
Agnes Scott College, Berry College, Brenau University,
Clark Atlanta University, Emory University,
Georgia College & State University, Georgia Tech,
Georgia State University (including Georgia Perimeter),
Mercer University, Morehouse College, Oglethorpe University,
Piedmont College,Savannah School of Art & Design, Spelman College.
There is a large list of out-of-state colleges that use the Common App.
Those colleges will be listed on the Common App website at
www.commonapp.org.
When applying through the Common App. you will need the full name of your counselor. The common app allows you to request a recommendation from your counselor and allows them to send the recommendation on-line. Your counselor will also upload your latest transcript to the desired college for free. This requires no additional action on your part.
Please note, you will need to submit your SAT scores through your college board account or your ACT scores through your ACT account. This is the only way your scores can be sent to colleges and be considered official.
